Plant safety from the operator’s point of view
For the safe operation of process plants, plant engineers can do more than their duty Plant operators in bulk solids processing industries benefit when plant engineers like Glatt Ingenieurtechnik not only develop and build the plants, but also operate them themselves. Contract manufacturing for customers trains the eye for the requirements, duties and challenges of the operator side. Product safety, fire and explosion protection, plant and operator safety as well as environmental aspects are automatically more clearly in focus. Based on its own practical experience, Glatt is far more committed to safety aspects than required by law. Inprotec AG: Specialist for drying, shaping, coating
Our business is contract drying and contract manufacturing using spray drying and fluidised bed technology, we find the right solution for every requirement. Even before the market launch of products, we use our expertise to quickly find solutions. Using spray drying and fluidised bed technology we find the right solution for your drying needs. We also use our expertise to find solutions before market launch of your products. Contract drying and contract manufacturing inprotec AG relies on two different technologies to fulfil all our customers’ requirements as a contract dryer and contract manufacturer: spray drying and fluid bed technology. * Spray drying technology*NEWLINE*In classic spray drying, solutions, suspensions or emulsions are processed into fine-grained, free-flowing powders. The respective product is first finely atomised at the top of the spray tower. The resulting spray mist is dried by the hot air stream within seconds during free fall (convection). * Fluidised bed technology*NEWLINE*When fluidised bed technology is used, a gas medium flows through the feedstock and raw materials. This flow puts the particles into a fluidised state - they mix with the medium. The result is a flowable,

Drying liquids: Selecting the best technology for nutraceuticals The desired end product properties can make a difference when choosing between spray drying or spray granulation
Drying liquids: Selecting the best technology for nutraceuticals
The desired end product properties can make a difference when choosing between spray drying or spray granulation Both spray drying and fluid bed spray granulation can be used to convert liquid products into bulk materials. The most effective process will often be dictated by the desired properties of the final particles and the specific application. Glatt Ingenieurtechnik has a thorough understanding of both techniques and has a long history of designing fluid bed systems that are tailored to individual customer products. Drying solids-laden liquids is frequently used in industry to convert products into a more manageable form and enable their storage at ambient temperatures. The resulting bulk materials are not only more stable than the liquid raw materials, they also have lower weights and smaller volumes, significantly reducing transportation and storage costs as well as any handling issues. To dry liquids as quickly as possible, spraying them into a hot air stream (spray drying) is very effective. It has been used for decades to quickly and cost-efficiently dry large-volume

WFP-Koni: the most compact fluidised bed pilot plant
The WFP-Koni is the smallest continuous fluid bed processor, for the following processes: drying, spray drying, spray granulation, agglomeration and coating. Bulk solids usually require several process steps before the final product is obtained. Drying is one of the most important basic process engineering operations. Moist products with a water content of up to 85 % can be dried particularly gently thermally and mechanically by convective drying in the fluidised bed, where high specific surfaces and an optimum mixing of product and carrier is reached. Nowadays, many powders are dried from suspensions or solutions with the aim of obtaining a very fine powder to improve bioavailability or solubility. And processes that yield dust-free, free-flowing products with good wettability (instant products) or directly compressible carriers. Different processes In the WFP-Koni different processes can be realised: drying, spray drying, spray granulation, agglomeration and coating. By varying the parameters of spray pressure, liquid quantity, powder recirculation, hot air quantities and hot air temperature, powders from less than

Phosphorus Recovery on an Industrial Scale
Closing the Loop: Phosphate fertilizer from sewage sludge ash. Glatt’s PHOS4green technology provides an economically and ecologically viable solution suitable for closing the phosphorus cycle. Ash-based recycling processes are among the most promising and economically attractive options when it comes to implementing the legally stipulated phosphorus recovery. The first fertilizers produced using the PHOS4green process have been available on the German market since June. The technology, which breaks down the phosphorus contained in sewage sludge ash and makes it reavailable in marketable end products, was developed by plant engineering and process expert Glatt Ingenieurtechnik in cooperation with fertilizer specialist Seraplant. Successful fluidized bed spray agglomeration with Ammag
Agglomeration is the correct process when a powder is to be turned into an easily pourable and soluble product, for example in perborate production. Filter dust accumulating during perborate production cannot be reused and must be processed by dissolving. The fluidised bed agglomeration with a suitable binding agent creates a saleable product. In addition to experience and innovative strength, AMMAG also stands for long-term relationships with employees, suppliers and customers, which are based on values such as trust, respect and honesty. We can only be successful if our partners are successful and appreciate our work. Fluidized bed spray agglomeration is one of our core competencies. We create added value for our customers through our goal and process-oriented action. In every phase of your project, whether in the development of new products, the implementation of innovative ideas or the optimization of existing fluidized bed systems, we support you in all areas through our know-how and through quick, clear and factual communication. Systems for fluidized bed spray agglomeration cannot only be implemented
