Gentle Size Reduction Down to the Nano Range RETSCH's PM 100 CM grinds samples in centrifugal mode
Gentle Size Reduction Down to the Nano Range
RETSCH's PM 100 CM grinds samples in centrifugal mode The new Planetary Ball Mill PM 100 CM offers all the performance and convenience of the classic PM 100. It pulverizes and mixes soft, medium-hard to extremely hard, brittle and fibrous materials and is used wherever the highest degree of fineness down to the submicron range is required. It is suitable for dry and wet grinding. In contrast to the PM 100 the speed ratio of sun wheel to grinding jar is 1:-1, i.e. the mill operates in centrifugal mode. This results in a different ball movement so that the sample is not so much crushed by impact effects but more gently ground by pressure and friction which allows for a lower temperature rise in the grinding jar and less abrasion. The PM 100 CM offers an excellent alternative for all applications where size reduction must not necessarily be carried out with maximum energy input. Benefits: - powerful and quick grinding down to nano range - reproducible results due to energy and speed control - suitable for long-term

Powerful and compact - RETSCH`s new jaw crusher
Powerful and compact - RETSCH`s new jaw crusher
RETSCH has further perfected the compact bench top model of the jaw crusher series. The new BB 50 offers many features which ensure efficient and convenient usage. The speed can be set between 550 and 950 min-1 to allow for perfect adaptation to sample requirements. Another advantage is the so-called zero-point adjustment which helps to compensate for wear of the breaking jaws. Operating the BB 50 is simple and safe. The large hopper facilitates material feed, the capacity of the collecting receptacle has been doubled. The fold-back hopper can be easily removed without using tools, just like the crusher arm. The breaking jaws can be replaced by the user as well. The space-saving unit fits on any laboratory bench and crushes smaller sample volumes with a feed size of up to 40 mm to a final fineness of approximately 0.5 mm, depending on material properties. There is no other instrument in the market to achieve this in a single operation! Breaking jaws and wearing plates

CryoMill - The New Generation Laboratory mill with autofill system for LN2
CryoMill - The New Generation
Laboratory mill with autofill system for LN2 For size reduction of sample materials which cannot be processed at room temperature, RETSCH’s CryoMill is the ideal choice. An integrated cooling system ensures that the grinding jar is continually cooled with liquid nitrogen before and during the grinding process. Thus the sample is embrittled and volatile components are preserved. An Autofill System provides liquid nitrogen in the required amount so that the user never gets into direct contact with the LN2 which makes operating the mill particularly safe. The new CryoMill achieves considerably improved grind sizes thanks to the increased oscillating frequency of 30 Hz. Another new feature is the possibility to store up to 9 SOPs. Further improvements include a reinforced housing, optimized liquid nitrogen duct and new accessories such as an adapter for 6 reaction vials and a 10 ml grinding jar. The mill can also be operated without cooling which makes it suitable for a vast range of applications. NEW: • Oscillating

Recovering valuable metals from highly viscous residual waste Dinnissen develops system for petrochemical industry
Recovering valuable metals from highly viscous residual waste
Dinnissen develops system for petrochemical industry Thick, highly viscous residual waste flows from the petrochemical industry that may also be contaminated with hard objects are very difficult to process. Because this residual waste often contains valuable pure metals, Dinnissen has developed a new purpose-built recovery system. The system covers the complete process from emptying the drums, containers or big bags right up to final packing of the purified metals. Special grinding unit processes residual waste into a homogenous material Certified waste flows from the petrochemical industry which are both highly viscous and contaminated with wood, stone and iron particles were almost impossible to process until recently. However, Dinnissen has now developed a new technology in order to recover precious metals such as chrome and molybdenum from this material. The thick, viscous tar mass (from drums, containers and big bags) is placed in special tipper units. The tipper units are vibrated and shaken vigorously in order
