New Multiflux Mixer GMS C from Gericke
Gericke’s Multiflux® mixer GMS creates with its 2 horizontal, overlapping mixing rotors a fluidized bed. As a mixing process is based on the exchange of the particles in a volume by convection, this principle is very efficient for the energy-saving and product respecting mixing. The GMS mixer is known as long-lasting and reliable process equipment. In order to complete its existing range, Gericke has made a redesign of the GMS Multiflux mixer that responds to the increasing demand for hygienic execution in the food and pharmaceutical industry. The new model is called GMS C. C stands for cantilevered and refers to the 2 shafts that are cantilevered, offering many advantages. Not only the number of sealing is divided by 2. Due to the construction, the front side of the mixer can be opened entirely. In the high end version, named the GMS ECD, the operator can pull out the complete drive and mixing shafts out of the body. Large lateral doors offer an easy access

Fluidization insert - Siperm HP antistatic
On the basis of pure polyethylene Tridelta Siperm has developed a new material with high conductivity; Siperm HP antistatic. This new, black material has the positive properties of the white material Siperm HP, the distribution of the pores is homogenous, the surface extremely smooth, it is extremely well weldable and it is officially approved to be food-safe. The surface resistivity of the new antistatic Siperm HP material is below 106 ohm and therefore it can be designated as electrically conducting. Especially for construction companies for bulk handling plants this newly developed, antistatic material may be of interest.

Storage, mixing and discharge of bulk materials with average particle sizes of less than 0.1 mm frequently causes problems because these bulk materials do not flow freely and therefore are almost impossible to discharge. They tend to agglomerate and form bridges and tunnels, particularly around the silo outlet, thereby obstructing the free flow of the material out of the storage vessel. A proven solution to such problems is the fluidization of the bulk materials using custom-made aeration bottoms, cones or inserts which we manufacture to your specifications. Dry, dust-free air is injected to reduce the friction and cohesive forces of the bulk material, producing a continuous flow of material out of the vessel. Air supply pressure and velocity of air must be set at such a rate that the contents of the silo are evenly loosened. When fitting-out large silo areas with aerations units, it is advantageous to divide them into sectors which can be aerated interchangeably.

Blender design compliant to EHEDG
Thrust blenders are the most suitable for gentle mixing of products with broad particle size distribution. For a functional-drink-application a ribbon type blender with 3000 litres useful volume was built. The blender has a single shaft. The mixing tools are ribbons, which are arranged screw-like at two circumferences. The inner ribbon with the smaller diameter promotes the product from the centre outward and the outer ribbon again inward. Pushing the ribbons through the bulk product provides the mixing. For application in the foodstuffs industry an EHEDG compliant design is used. The materials of construction were carefully selected and high quality surfaces were realized; furthermore, bolted connections were avoided as far as possible. Special attention was paid to dead-space-free constructions at the discharge, where a metallic sealing was implemented. Since the blender is wet cleaned, it is provided with particularly large openings, which improve the accessibility
