Schenck Process presents CS+ feeder for battery cell production
Schenck Process will be presenting the CS+ loss-in-weight feeder system at the Battery Show in Stuttgart from 18th to 20th June (Booth B73, Hall 8). The modularly configurable system is specially designed to meet the requirements of electrode production and is suitable for both continuous and batch processes. It fulfils the highest standards of safety, cleanliness and dosing accuracy. The production of lithium-ion batteries is complex. To ensure a high-performance, high-quality product, contamination of the slurry by metallic abrasion and the ingress of air and moisture must be avoided. At the same time, maximum feeding accuracy under challenging pressure conditions and a reliable containment concept are required. The new CS+ loss-in-weight feeder system from Schenck Process perfectly meets these different requirements. CS+ can be customized to meet individual customer requirements. The modular design makes it possible to cover a large feeding range with just one feeder type: CS+ is suitable for small quantities from 30 litres per hour as well as for high feeding capacities of up to 3,000 litres per hour. Climate-neutral circular economy: Schenck Process becomes Qlar
Schenck Process will rebrand to Qlar on 13 May 2024, extending its focus on digitally enabled and sustainable solutions. Guided by its aspiration “the future is cirQlar”, Schenck Process is taking the lead in climate-neutral material transformation processes. The German-headquartered company will continue to serve all existing target industries, including chemicals, high-performance materials, cement, steel, infrastructure, transport and energy. The Schenck Process brand, with its existing portfolio, will remain as a product brand under the roof of Qlar that will drive future innovative solutions in the green and circular economy. Following Schenck Process’ refocus on its core expertise in weighing, feeding, conveying, milling and grinding in 2023, the company is taking its next step on 13 May: “With the rebranding to Qlar, we at Schenck Process are opening a new chapter for a circular future. With the new branding, we are linking ourselves to the circular economy, and focusing our attention even more on future challenges in digitalisation and green transformation,” explains

LOGiQ combines yard management and weighing technology automatically
Schenck Process, a leading specialist for process-critical bulk materials applications, offers the LOGiQ yard management system, a cloud-based software solution that combines efficient truck loading operations with automated weighing of bulk materials. LOGiQ is a proven system in the cement and steel industry. However, the solution is also suitable for yard management in other segments of industrial production. LOGiQ handles all logistical steps from the entry of an authorized truck onto the company premises to the exit in a seamless process. The software system monitors and controls access, supports weighing processes, ensures correct loading and records all relevant data without delays. All information is integrated into the ERP system, for example SAP, to provide up-to-date sales and administrative data. Access is controlled via LOGiQ registration terminals, which are intuitive to use and available in several languages on request. The truck drivers operate these terminals themselves and record their weighing processes and all steps during loading and unloading. The processes run automatically without the need for manual intervention by staff: ”zero-touch fulfillment”. This reduces the susceptibility to errors

Schenck Process: Refocusing on core business
The long-established German-based company Schenck Process is now focusing 100% on its core competencies of weighing and feeding technology. The long-established German-based company Schenck Process is moving into a more sustainable future after the carve-out of its food solutions to Hillenbrand/Coperion. The expert for process-critical bulk solids applications is now focusing 100% on its core competencies of weighing and feeding technology with over 300 patents as well as further developed digital applications. New and green process technologies are to contribute to a climate-neutral circular economy in the target industries of chemicals, high-performance materials, cement, steel, and energy - with further optimised customer service. Schenck Process is repositioning itself: Under the leadership of the new CEO Dr Jörg Ulrich, the company is ushering in a new era following the carve-out of the food division. ”The business units in Europe, China and India will benefit greatly from the new size of the company, which has changed from 2,500 to 1,100 employees,” says Jörg Ulrich confidently. ”We combine

Flexible, safe and clean: Feeder for battery cell production
Schenck Process goes Battery with the new CS+ differential weigh feeder. The new development is specially designed to meet the requirements of electrode production. The modular configurable dosing system for the production of battery mass is suitable for both continuous and batch processes. Highly flammable and highly toxic materials The production of lithium-ion batteries is complex. Highest precision and maximum protection for employees and the environment are required, because producers have to handle materials that are difficult to process, sometimes highly flammable and highly toxic. In this context, the requirements for minimising dust emissions from the process equipment are continuously increasing. With CS+, Schenck Process is introducing a new differential weigh feeder system which, as part of the value chain in battery production, stands for maximum process reliability in the area of component dosing. Consistent containment concept CS+ fits seamlessly into plant concepts that rely on a consistent containment concept to limit dust emissions. One of the outstanding features of the Schenck Process system is its
