Multiprocessing systems: Flexibility and efficiency available quickly
The modern production environment requires flexibility, efficiency and speed When manufacturing products with variable grinding properties, multiprocessing systems are crucial. This is because they offer a time-saving solution for complex production requirements. Thanks to the new Speedline series with a shortened delivery time of just 4 months, it is possible to react quickly to customer requirements and expand production capacities. How does a multiprocessing system work? The functionality of the MPA is based on a modular concept. A basic module contains all the necessary components of a grinding and classifying system, while additional modules can be added as required. This enables time-efficient conversion between different processes. The special design also reduces cleaning and maintenance times. Where are multi-processing systems used? The multi-process systems are versatile and are used in a wide range of applications. Particularly, they are used for the flexible production of smaller product quantities, especially in product development.

Early fire detection with IR system – double certified
Due to the immense increase in fire damage in industry, insurers are increasing their requirements: they demand certified fire protection for production facilities. Companies can often only obtain fire insurance for their production if they install certified fire protection solutions. Fire protection with a seal of approval is therefore not a luxury, but often makes the difference between survival and insolvency. As with all insurance policies, the same applies here: Maximum possible prevention is a prerequisite for a high damage class. This is because maximising prevention also makes claims less likely. Fortunately, this coincides with the goal of every company to keep operations running without interruption. This means that people are not put in danger by fire or explosion, material assets are pre-served and the environment is not unnecessarily polluted. With its new system for the early detection of potential fire risks based on an infrared camera, T&B electronic GmbH from Alfeld in Lower Saxony remains true to its principle of always realising the safest fire prevention. The system fulfils today’s enormously increased

Continuous & point level measurement with guaranteed Quality Level detectors detect media at a predefined position depending on the installation position.
Continuous & point level measurement with guaranteed Quality
Level detectors detect media at a predefined position depending on the installation position. Level detectors are mainly installed as full or empty detectors in the upper or lower part of a silo or container. This prevents the silo from overfilling or running empty. In combination with a level sensor, this results in a redundant system which additionally increases plant safety. If a certain fill level is of particular interest, the sensors can also be used as demand detectors. There are different technologies for level detection, which have their advantages and disadvantages depending on the application. For the selection, numerous process conditions have to be considered, which the sensor technology has to cope with. In addition, the requirements for bulk solids sensors differ from those for liquid sensors. For this reason, UWT offers a broad portfolio of different technologies such as rotary paddle switches, vibration level switches and capacitive sensors. This allows us to individually address their requirements in order to always provide them with the

Sinfimasa helps choose optimal vertical conveying for your application
Operating temperature, granularity, and other characteristics determine what the best option is for a bulk solids elevator. This item describes different types of bucket elevators: chain or belt. Chain or Belt Bucket Elevator Typically, in the industry and handling of bulk solid products, belt-anchored bucket elevators are used for vertical material lifting due to their higher performance in terms of load capacity and lifting speed. However, a chain bucket elevator emerges as a robust and reliable solution for lifting materials under certain specific conditions. Comparing them with the former, we observe significant differences that influence the implementation decision according to the needs of each project. Heavy-Duty applications Chain bucket elevators stand out for their ability to handle bulk materials of large size, high density, abrasiveness, and under high-temperature conditions. This type of elevator uses robust chains as a means of support and traction for the buckets, which gives it superior resistance to wear and slippage. This feature makes them ideal for applications where materials such as minerals, coal, and chemicals need to be transported

Lödige Maschinenbau at IFAT 2024: Sewage sludge conditioning
The presentation of Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau GmbH at IFAT focuses on the efficient and reliable conditioning sewage sludge. An ongoing project demonstrates the potential of continuous Ploughshare® mixers in mixing and texturing. The processing of highly heterogeneous material flows, e.g. from sewage treatment plants, power stations, recycling plants or mining operations, to enable their safe and marketable reuse is a highly demanding process engineering task. Application-specific Ploughshare® mixers manufactured by Lödige Maschinenbau offer good results for sludge, dust and other bulk materials. One of Germany’s biggest sewage treatment plants Every year 220,000 tonnes of sewage sludge are generated by the Bottrop sewage treatment plant and neighbouring plants of the Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband water boards. In order to guarantee an optimum thermal process, this sewage sludge must be conditioned prior to incineration. The focus is thereby placed on dry matter content (DM content). This means that a specific mixing ratio of moist and dried sewage sludge and a high degree of homogeneity are essential for the quality of thermal utilisation. In addition, requirements exist regarding

Gericke AirCIP, a revolutionary solution for horizontal shaft mixers
Gericke has announced the launch of its innovative AirCIP system that enables complete discharge and cleaning of horizontal shaft mixers without the need for bomb doors or manual intervention. Horizontal mixers are impressive due to their excellent mixing efficiency and low height requirements. In certain applications, there is an interest in emptying the mixers completely after a mixing process. This may be the case when changing recipes. Bomb doors are a common solution to facilitate discharge, but there could be a risk of leakage and they require frequent cleaning and maintenance. In addition, the instantaneous discharge flow created by bomb doors can lead to undesirable demixing effects. Bomb doors make large discharge hoppers under the mixers necessary. They are critical for cleaning and inspection. Gericke’s AirCIP system solves these problems by using a minimal amount of compressed air to create a pulsating effect that pushes the material out of the mixer through the discharge valves. The system also cleans the paddles and the inner walls of the mixer, ensuring no residues are left behind. The AirCIP system can be tailored to different products
